Happy Memorial Day!

It might have been 82 degrees outside but I didn't go out there (I'm totally not an outdoor person). I stayed inside, got some laundry done, dishes done, rice krispie treats ready for a BBQ and all bedding changed. It's going to be a busy week so had to get anything I could do today done. Had a nice BBQ with family.

Birthday Party

As soon as we got the invitation Gillian couldn't wait to go to the party. It was a party that she would get to ride a pony. The day came and all day long that is what she talked about. She was sad when we left and she asked if she could get riding lessons. I explained that is very expensive and she was debating on what she could give up to go for the lessons. We'll have to wait and see.

I took a Mamacation which entailed a trip down to NY City to meet my favorite author with a good friend.

Other than going away for work, I have never left Gillian and Craig. It felt strange at first but by the time I got home I felt refreshed and had missed both deeply.

I got to meet my favorite author Jen Lancaster.

We wandered the streets of NY which were much safer than I expected. We went to the top of the Empire State Building which was beautiful (although we both wondered how we were going to make it as we are both scared of heights.

The second day we went to Woodbury Commons....I recommend this to all woman that like shopping...we could have spent days there!

Gillian's Room

Craig and I were off May 5th and 6th. We were originally going to leave town but then I decided a home project might be more fun. I've wanted to turn Gillian's room into a big girl room for a while now as she is far from the baby we brought home not even 5 years ago. The yellow just didn't suit her. Gillian went to stay with Grammie for a couple nights and Craig and I went to work. I think Easter Basket Purple suits her much better.
